  • severe skin reaction -- fever, a sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (specially in the face area or upper body) to cause blistering and peeling.




Less serious Lasix unwanted effects can sometimes include:




  • diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain;




  • dizziness, spinning sensation;




  • blurred vision; or

  • phenytoin (Dilantin);




  • cancer medicine (chemotherapy);




  • diet pills or cold medicine;




  • steroids (prednisone while others);




  • a laxative (Metamucil, Milk of Magnesia, Colace, Dulcolax, Epsom salts, senna, and others)




  • an antibiotic including cefdinir (Omnicef), cefprozil (Cefzil), cefuroxime (Ceftin), cephalexin (Keflex), and others;




  • an antibiotic like amikacin (Amikin), gentamicin (Garamycin), kanamycin (Kantrex), neomycin (Mycifradin, Neo Fradin, Neo Tab), paromomycin (Humatin, Paromycin), streptomycin, tobramycin (Nebcin, Tobi);




  • heart or high blood pressure medication like benazepril (Lotensin), candesartan (Atacand), eprosartan (Teveten), enalapril (Vasotec), irbesartan (Avapro, Avalide), lisinopril (Prinivil, Zestril), losartan (Cozaar, Hyzaar), olmesartan (Benicar), quinapril (Accupril), ramipril (Altace), telmisartan (Micardis), valsartan (Diovan), as well as others; or




  • salicylates such as aspirin, Disalcid, Doan's Pills, Dolobid, Salflex, Tricosal, as well as others.
